A workshop designed to learn real ceramics
We work exclusively with high-fire stoneware — durable, non-porous and dishwasher-safe. Pieces made not just to be kept, but to become part of your everyday life.
A maximum of six students in Pottery Wheel classes and eight in Open Studio, allowing for personal attention and guidance throughout your learning process.
Whether you’re completely new to ceramics or already have years of experience, there’s a place for you at Rámica. Different levels, different paths.
Classes are taught in Spanish, English and Hebrew, so you can learn and enjoy the process in the language you feel most comfortable with.

Rámica is located on Calle de la Ribera de Curtidores, in the heart of Madrid, just a few minutes from La Latina, Puerta de Toledo, Embajadores and Lavapiés.
The studio has dedicated areas for wheel throwing, handbuilding, decorating and independent practice. A spacious and bright environment designed to learn at your own pace, focus on the process and share the experience with other ceramicists.

How to get started in Rámica
Discover the world of ceramics, get to know the clay and the ceramic process, and try two different ways of working: handbuilding and a short experience on the pottery wheel.
It is the starting point for getting to know the studio and understanding which direction you would like to continue with afterwards.
After the introduction class, you can choose the option that suits you best:

The hands behind Rámica
My name is Ravit Zafrani. I’ve been working with ceramics since 2018, when I first sat down at a pottery wheel in a small studio in Tel Aviv and didn’t want to leave.
Later, I deepened my practice at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, where I studied wheel throwing, handbuilding, glaze chemistry and firing techniques. Over the years, I have worked as a ceramics teacher and studio manager, creating structured, personal and craft-centered learning environments.
I have lived in Madrid since 2023. Rámica is what I came here to build.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need previous experience?
Not at all. If you are new to ceramics, we recommend starting with our Ceramic Initiation Workshop, where you will discover the ceramic process, explore handbuilding techniques and have a short introduction to the pottery wheel. After that, you can choose the regular class that best suits you: Open Studio or Pottery Wheel.
In which languages are the classes taught?
Classes at Rámica are taught in Spanish, English and Hebrew.
What does the monthly membership include?
Monthly memberships include one 2-hour class per week, as well as the materials and use of the studio tools needed during class. Each class follows your own pace and projects, with guidance throughout the process.
What happens to the pieces I make?
Your pieces stay at the studio while they dry and go through the different stages of the ceramic process. Once they are completely finished and ready for collection, you can pick them up from the studio.
What if I miss a class?
If you cannot attend a class, you can reschedule it as long as you cancel at least 12 hours in advance, subject to availability. Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the class cannot be rescheduled.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. Monthly memberships can be cancelled before the next renewal date. Once a new monthly period has started, the payment for that month is non-refundable.
Where exactly is the studio?
Rámica is located at Calle de la Ribera de Curtidores, 25, 28005 Madrid, in the heart of La Latina and within walking distance of Puerta de Toledo, Embajadores and Lavapiés.
How does the payment work?
Bookings and payments are made online. Regular classes work through a monthly membership, while workshops and other individual sessions are paid when booking.
Are the materials included?
Yes. Clay, glazes and the use of studio tools are included in regular classes. For the Ceramic Initiation Workshop, firing is optional and costs €15 for up to three pieces.
Rámica is the studio I always dreamed of creating. It all started the first time I sat at a pottery wheel and immediately felt at home.
Over time, I discovered that working with clay changes the way you experience time. It slows you down, brings you into the present and connects your hands, your mind and the material.
After years of teaching ceramics and managing studios, I knew exactly what I wanted to create: small groups, quality craftsmanship, a calm environment and a genuine sense of community.
